UK Trip and Delightful Purple-y Hair -- Okay, I'll start this thing :)

Ha, so in honor of my far away sister and far away friendsies -- who for some unknown reason seem to want me to type the occasional bit about my life (as if don't CALL or write to them... oh, wait, I don't!)-- I have given in against my finer (i.e. rebellious) feelings and decided to give this a go. But don't worry. Most of what you read will probably be a lie. BUT,I can promise it WILL be an exciting lie.
:) :) :)

Recently -- I went on a magical trip back to England!
Highlights are as follows:
1) Warm fuzzy wandering in meadows and greens.

2) I visited my lovely darling friend Anna, as well as her family. And her brother Joel, who was also visiting Anna. Many adventures ensured, including strawberry picking, raspberry picking and jam making. Yes, for all who were doubtful that it would ever occur -- I am now officially a domesticated jam-maker. Huzzah!

3) Of course, one of my most important personal goals on this trip was to find my way to fairy land (I am actually not joking about this). What do you know but I spent quite some time there one afternoon with Anna's daugher, Esther! (seen below with moi.)

In fairy land one can do such delightful things as hunt for singing seashells that house fairies and waft delightful lemon scents, find amazing dresses encrusted with jewels, and fend off angry dragons. Who knew that the way to get there was as simple as bouncing around in circles on a trampoline while flapping your arms as if flying?? Someone else -- please try this some time, and see if you get the same results. We must know if this is repeatable, and alas, I am currently sans-trampoline.

4) Last but not least -- I dyed my hair purple!!!

This has been a vague goal to try at one point in my life for quite some time. My lovely friend Kayleigh happens to be an expert, she had the dye.. the rest is history. I really really liked the purple hair! I wish it was more socially acceptable to keep. (unfortunately, silly job-givers aren't as happy about purple hair as they perhaps ought to be :)). However, I did NOT like the gray hair that emerged soon thereafter. (haha!). My friend Sarah convinced me that rinsing/soaking my hair in Apple Cider Vinegar would remove this unsightly coloring!! Well, perhaps it helped... but meanwhile I smelled like a vomitous salad for the past week or two!! Ha ha ha! Note to self -- We now know why no one has yet tried to make a perfume out of Apple Cider Vinegar.... :)

5) Kayleigh's housemate Medea is from Pakistan and happens to own just TRUNKS and trunks of traditional clothing. One of my favorite evenings in quite some time was the one in which we three tried on millions of these outfits and danced wildly to Bollywood/South Asian music videos. Yeah!

Ermm... I can't believe I am posting this... please feel free to ahem, NOT watch it... :)

Did you get any feedback from the job you applied for whilst in England? I still have the letter on my desktop so I'm thinking of applying for a few jobs myself....
